About Us
Message from the Elders
Welcome to the Ethiopian Evangelical Church Of Seattle Ambassadors website. Ambassadors is a community where everyone is welcome, not just to a physical building, but to an emotional place of refuge in him. No matter where you are in your journey, you belong here! We strive to be a community of big hearted people willing to love and help anybody. "When he was still a long way off, his father saw him. His heart pounding, he ran out, embraced him and kissed him. "Tonight, we feast! My son has come home safe and sound." -Luke 15
What We Believe
We believe the church exists to glorify God through prayer, worship, and thanksgiving, and to provide a spiritual home for believers to grow in faith and fellowship. We uphold the authority of Scripture, preach the gospel of Jesus Christ for the salvation of souls, and call people to repentance and faith. The church is committed to teaching God’s Word clearly and faithfully, equipping believers to live holy, transformed lives. We seek to fulfill the Great Commission through evangelism, church planting, and missions, reflecting God’s Kingdom in the world through worship, witness, and service.
Mission & Vision
Mission
To worship God as the body of the Christ and to equip believers to remain steadfast in their faith, while actively fulfilling the Great Commission by making disciples and reaching those who have not yet heard the gospel (Matthew 28:18-20).
The church is committed to spreading the both locally and globally, and to providing social and economic support to individuals and families in need, beginning in the city of Seattle and beyond.
Values
We are Christ-centered, placing Jesus at the heart of all faith, worship, and mission (Colossians 1:18).
Unity among believers forms the foundation of our church life, guided by prayer and the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 4:3).
We are committed to the ministry of reconciliation, promoting peace with God and among people (2 Corinthians 5:18).
Love among members is essential, reflecting Christ’s sacrificial love (John 13:34).
Finally, we embrace humility in service, following the mindset and example of Christ in all we do (Philippians 2:5).
